About Health Coaching
The use of evidence-based skillful conversation, clinical interventions and strategies to actively and safely engage clients in health behavior change.
Everyone has a different opinion on what health means. What supplements to take, what diet to follow, what activities to include, what toxins to eliminate from your home, what type of oil to cook with, and how to get rid of all of your stress. But, here's the thing....no one knows what is best for you...but you.
A true health coach will not tell you what to do. They will not tell you what diet to follow. They will not give you an exercise plan. They will definitely not order labs or prescribe supplements. (Spoiler alert - only a medically licensed professional should be doing this - but, this is a conversation for another time).
In our sessions we will start by creating a wellness vision for your life. Once you have an idea of where you want to go, we will work on building mindfulness for where you are at right now, build practical skills to help you get there and finally practice what you have learned to move you closer to your goals.
Coaching sessions will last an hour. Initially we will devote time to understanding your why for wellness and creating your wellness vision. Follow-up appointments will focus on building the skills you need to achieve your goals and creating plans to practice the skills you need to achieve your goals. Between coaching sessions you will have goals to keep track of and maybe homework to complete. I'll only be an email or portal message away if you have a question.

Health Behavior Change
Our behaviors are established through years of practice. Often it takes outside perspective to help you make the changes you want for years to come.
You are going to get about 225,000 hours of sleep in your lifetime. There are about 1,000,000 things trying to disrupt that.
Stress is a given, but it does not have to define or dictate your day. Managing our stress is about more than bubble baths and charcoal masks.
